On April 18, Isabella (Izzy) Giusti was arrested at Columbia's antisemitic encampment. She is a student at Barnard College.
Giusti was among the 114 people arrested at the Gaza Solidarity Encampment at Columbia, at which protesters defended terrorism as resistance. Protesters chanted, "Zionists not allowed here" and called for "10,000 October 7ths" and told Jews to "go back to Poland." One student even said that they heard chants of "Kill all the Jews!"
What took place at the encampment is unequivocally antisemitic, and Izzy Giusti's arrest confirmed her as a participant.
Columbia is not holding its students accountable. So it's time to hold Columbia President Minouche Shafik accountable.
